May 2017: During the past seven weeks,we have made our very first USA visit. The impetus for this has been that our daughter Robyn, her husband Damien and their two children, Thomas and Isabelle, are living in Savannah, Georgia. This blog covers two periods of time in Savannah, a visit to Pittsburgh, the aim of which was to visit the famous Frank Lloyd Wright home, 'Fallingwater', a Trafalgar tour from New York to Boston and also Globus tour from Nashville to New Orleans.

Days 22/23: Travelling in Canada
Days 22 and 23: Travelling in Canada
I would love to be reporting on the wonderful sights of Canada but I can't because of rain. Since leaving Niagara yesterday morning, we have driven through relentless rain; to Toronto yesterday and then to Ottowa today. It is freezing - down to about 5 degrees Celcius. With 52 people in the coach, the windows are all fogged up, so we have to clear them from time to time to see what we are driving through. Today we were quite shocked to see that all the farmland we drove through had water just lying in the paddocks, so clearly they have had too much rain.
It is so disappointing because I was really looking forward to seeing Ottowa, but it seems that we will need to see the sights (especially their beautiful parliament house) by internet.
Our problems, however, are minor compared with those for the local population. Widespread flooding is happening right through this part of Canada - especially Quebec Province, which is where we are heading tomorrow.
